NameCheap is perhaps the cheapest alternative to GoDaddy, so if you chose GoDaddy due to its value for money, then Namecheap is the thing you’re looking for. Besides, NameCheap is vigarously against SOPA, and even offered a discount coupon ‘SOPASucks’. They were offering .com domains for as low as $6.99!

Dreamhost

Dreamhost is another very good quality web host and domain registrar. The downside is, you have to buy hosting to get a domain. The upside is, you get free domains (up to four) for signing up for an year’s worth of hosting!

HostGator

HostGator is the company of our choice. It provides web hosting and domain registration side-by-side. But the services provided are simply amazing, with unlimited hosting, bandwidth, storage etc, and a really helpful customer help staff. Go for HostGator if you’re looking for a reliable web host for your website.

Hover is quite like Namecheap, offering inexpensive domain names and providing coupon codes related to SOPA to show their disapproval. They have a really easy domain transfer system that would get your domain transferred in no time at all!

Another good alternative to GoDaddy. Domain registration costs around $10.99, which might not be as good as GoDaddy’s offers, but they do provide some really good quality web hosting and service.
